Contest Rules & Regulations - Greece CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS - GREECE TRIP FOR TWO TO GREECE Contest Sponsor and organizer is GreekTown on the Danforth BIA (“Contest Sponsor”). No purchase is necessary. The Pilaros Taste of the Danforth Contest (“Contest”) is open to residents of Canada, who have reached the age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside and who have existing Internet access and a valid email account/address. This contest is not open to residents of the province of Quebec. Official contest entry forms and contest rules are available at www.tasteofthedanforth.com. Entrants must login and register a valid e-mail account and submit the responses to the questionnaire to enter the contest. Contest begins Friday, August 6, 2010 at 12:01 am EST and online entries must be received on or before Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 11:59pm EST. LIMIT: One entry per person or e-mail address. More than one entry from a single person or e-mail address will void all entries from that person or e-mail address. Maximum one prize per household. There will be one Grand prize available to be won, consisting of an Aegean Splendour trip for two to Glorious Greece, courtesy of Transat Holidays. Your prize includes: roundtrip charter airfare from Toronto to Athens (subject to availability and operation of the charter series), four (4) nights on a Greek island & Turkey cruise on the Aquamarine (or similar) in an air-conditioned inside cabin with on board entertainment and services, breakfast, lunch & dinner and midnight snacks, 3 nights Athens including breakfast. For specific information on your itinerary please refer to Transat Holidays Italy – Spain – Greece 2010/11 brochure. The prize does not include the following: taxes, travel insurance, any additional meals and beverages that are not stated in your itinerary, upgrades, items of a personal nature and any optional tours or sightseeing. We recommend the purchase of medical, accident and baggage insurance, which may be purchased through Transat Holidays. It is the responsibility of the prize-winner to obtain and pay for the required identification documents (i.e. passports, visas, etc.) for their entry into the visiting country prior to departure. Failing to provide the required documents may result in denied boarding by the air carrier and/or entry by immigration authorities. Transat Holidays is not responsible in this respect. It is the prize-winner’s responsibility to check with the airline for baggage restrictions. The approximate retail value of the trip to Greece grand prize is $3800 (Cdn) per couple, based on a Toronto departure example. The trip is awarded in conformity with the following conditions: 1.All travel arrangements are to be made through Transat Holidays. This package will be subject to availability at the time of booking. 2.Travel is valid from August 17 – October 18, 2010 and from May 04 – October 19, 2011. Blackout periods may apply including Canadian Statutory Holidays. 3.All applicable taxes must be paid to Transat Holidays prior to ticket release. 4.All bookings are subject to 100% cancellation penalties. Once the booking has been confirmed, no changes can be made to the passenger names and/or date of travel. 5.The prize offered is subject to the operation of the Charter Series and/or the Tour Package Program. 6.The prize is non-transferable and has no cash value for the winner. Unused travel services are not exchangeable for alternate arrangements. 7.In the event a prize-winner is unable to redeem the prize as awarded, Transat Holidays nor any parties associated with this prize will not provide compensation or substitutions. At approximately 2pm EST on September 14, 2010, a random draw from all entries received by the dates and times indicated above will be conducted by Contest Sponsor at its offices at 699 Danforth Avenue, Suite 201, Toronto, ON M4J 1L2 Immediately after the draw, Contest Sponsor will contact the potential winners by return e-mail at the e-mail address supplied on the registration form which must still be valid. The potential winners will have 14 days after being contacted by email to contact Contest Sponsor by email, using the address provided (“Contact Deadline”). If the potential winner who otherwise complies with all the requirements of these rules, is to be declared winner, he or she will be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without the aid of any mechanical, electronic or similar device and administered by e-mail. The traveling companion (or their parent/legal guardian if a minor) and the prize winner will also be required to sign a standard release form confirming compliance with these rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded and releasing Contest Sponsor and their respective affiliates, agents, officers, directors, employees, or advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability in connection with this Contest or the awarding of the prize. Standard releases, including a release for the traveling companion for the Grand prize must be signed and returned to Contest Sponsor by fax within the time period specified on the standard release. Upon answering the skill testing question correctly and submitting signed release forms, Contest Sponsor, will make arrangements for awarding the prize. Should the potential winner not reply to Contest Sponsor by fax by the end of the Contact Deadline, or potential winner does not otherwise comply with the Contest rules, including failure to return the standard release forms, or correctly answer the skill-testing question, that potential winner will be deemed to have forfeited any rights to his or her prize and Contest Sponsor will have the right to select an alternate potential winner from among the remaining eligible entries and contact such persons in the manner provided above except that the alternative potential winner will be given a new Contact Deadline which is seven business days after contact is made. Before being declared a winner, a selected entry must be verified by Contest Sponsor. The decisions of the Contest Sponsor on all issues relating to the Contest will be final and binding on all entrants. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Entries that are submitted from unauthorized sources as determined by Contest Sponsor will be disqualified. Contest Sponsor and their respective affiliates assume no responsibility for late, lost, stolen, delayed, illegible, incomplete, or misdirected entry forms, or human error, or technical malfunctions, including but not limited to inability to access the website, lost, delayed or incorrect data transmission, interruption or failure, other electronic malfunctions, computer or telephone hardware or software failures, malfunctions or garbled transmissions. Contest Sponsor and their respective affiliates are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, or injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in the Contest or downloading any materials in relation to the Contest. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest will result in disqualification. Any such action may be in violation of civil and criminal laws, and Contest Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. None of Contest Sponsor, nor their affiliates, or advertising and promotional agencies or agents, officers, directors, employees and representatives shall be responsible in any way for the use of or bear any liability whatsoever in any way attributable to an entrant’s participation in this Contest or the prize awarded in this Contest, including liability for any injury, loss or damages of any kind to persons, including death, and property. By entering this Contest, winner consents to Contest Sponsor and their respective affiliates using the winner’s name, address, photograph and/or video image in any publicity and advertising without further compensation or notice, where legal. Employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents of Contest Sponsor, Dine.To, and Transat Holidays and their affiliated companies and respective promotional agents, as well as those with whom such persons are domiciled, are not eligible. Residents of the province of Quebec are not eligible. By entering, each entrant agrees to abide by the Contest rules and to the decisions of Contest Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. All entries become the property of Contest Sponsor and none will be returned. No correspondence or communication will be entered into except with a selected entrant. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws, and all applicable local, provincial, federal or international taxes, duties or fees are the sole responsibility of each winner and will be paid by the winner. Contest Sponsor reserves the right in its absolute discretion to modify, amend, withdraw or terminate this Contest or the Contest rules at any time, in whole or in part, without prior notification, for any reason.
